Washington Redskins Training Camp
Earthworks is proud to have been chosen to construct the 2½ fields for the training camp. The native soil was amended with sand and McGill compost, then laser graded. Drainage and irrigation was installed. The fields were sodded with Latitude 36 Burmuda grass. The Latitude held up great through the 3 weeks of training camp. Saint Gertrude’s Sportsplex
Earthworks built the softball field and natural grass soccer field. The 2 fields and all of the common areas are irrigated. Both fields were laser graded. The softball field was seeded with Turf Type Tall Fescue and the soccer field was sodded with Celebration burmuda grass. Earthworks also maintains this complex, mowing, fertilizing, top dressing, and coring.
Spotsylvania Sportsplex
Earthworks & R.C.C.I. teamed together to build the 7 soccer fields and large common area between the fields. The native soil was amended with McGill Compost than laser graded. The entire site is irrigated with water out of the pond that RCCI built. Next we sprigged the entire site with Tifway 419 burmuda grass. The entire site is mowed a 1″. It is really nice to have the common areas maintained the same as the fields, very nice look.
